A quiet base for the Snow Festival.
The Sapporo Snow Festival is usually held in early February. The main site is Odori Park. Susukino has its own site. The city publishes the dates each year. This page does not invent them.
The ride in
From the house, walk about five minutes to Asabu Station and take the Namboku line south. Odori Station is the stop for the park. Susukino is one station further. You come back the same way, to the north end of the line.
The apartments are the quiet part of the day: cook, sleep, and ride in when you want the snow. Check-in is still 16:00–23:00, and the street is still a residential street.
What this page will not pretend
Sculpture hours, crowd levels, and whether a given year adds a site somewhere else are set by the organizers. Look those up for the year you travel. The subway is the plan that does not change: Asabu, southbound, Odori.
